Teacher of the Year

As part of each Spring Conference, The South Dakota Council of Teachers of English presents the English/Language Arts Teacher of the Year Award for the previous calendar year.  

Outstanding regional educators are nominated for the award by SDCTE members.   (Nominations must be in by November 15.  If you have Acrobat Reader, you can download a copy of the nomination form.)  The Executive Board chooses the Teacher of the Year from this pool of nominees.

Criteria: The teacher of the year is professionally minded, visible in SDCET (as well as other areas of professionalism), as well as an ongoing member of the SDCTE.

The 2002 Teacher of the Year distinction was awarded to Connie Krueger on March 28, 2003.  Krueger teaches at Rapid City Central High School.
