Plans are now complete for the English round tables
at the annual SDEA/NEA Convention to be held in Sioux Falls. The English sessions are all scheduled
on Wednesday, August 14. A total of six will be offered by the following presenters: Jackie Newell
and Ron Grimsley from Mitchell High School, Kandy Punt from Stickney High School, Karen
Harrington from Mitchell High School, Sue Morrell from Bon Homme High School, Sharon Olbertson
from Beresford High School, and Dodie Bemis from Watertown. All sessions will be held at Southeast
Technical Institute.
In addition to the interest sessions, SDCTE is also sponsoring a luncheon on Wednesday. It will be held at noon in Room 201 of the Health Science Center (located right behind the main building at SETI) at a cost of $6.00. By having the luncheon right on campus, we hope to eliminate transportation and time problems. Don't worry about making reservations ahead of time. A count will be taken during the morning sessions, and there's always room for one more. Please join your fellow professionals!
Teacher comment on student's paper; "Your vocabulary is mean and impoverished but entirely
suitable to your subject."
