SDCTE sponsored six English roundtables at the annual SDEA/NEA Convention in Sioux Falls.
All six sessions were scheduled on Wednesday, August 14th, and each session attracted a good-sized audience. Special thanks go
to the following presenters for sharing their time and expertise: Jackie Newell and Ron Grimsley from Mitchell
High School, Kandy Punt from Stickney, Karen Harrington from Mitchell, Sue Morrell from Bon
Homme, Sharon Olbertson from Beresford, and Dodie Bemis from Watertown.
In addition to the interest sessions, SDCTE also sponsored a luncheon
on Wednesday. President Kandy Punt presided over the annual business meeting held after the luncheon.
Business items included discussion of the date and location of next spring's conference, a membership drive incentive,
and a call for presenters for next spring's conference and for the SDEA/NEA convention.
