SDCTE Thanks SDEA Presenters

A big thank-you to Judy Edenstrom and Sharon Olbertson for their presentation on teaching Advanced Placement English in two different school settings.

Thanks also to Judy, who teaches at Aberdeen Central, for teaching new strategies with Chaucerian literature.  Dodie Bemis of Watertown provided an energetic view of Tech Prep teaching ideas.  Thanks, Dodie!

Sharon Olbertson, Beresford, did some fast talking and pulling to find out what the states' colleges were offering teachers in the near future.  Thanks, Sharon.  And Jim Swanson of DSU shared his expertise on the teaching of reading in content areas.  You were all great!!

Now, do any of you other members have ideas or presentations that you might contribute to a future SDCTE gathering?  Right now we're in the talking stages with a spring meeting or conference in Huron with the possibility of several good sessions in the line-up.

What would you like to hear?  What would induce you to attend our spring meeting?  Let us know, please.  We want to serve your best interests.
