NANCY KAMPFE'S WELCOME TO THE SDCTE DISCUSSION LIST
(Posted to the SDCTE list on November 21, 2000)
Welcome to our SDCTE List, a place where we can exchange ideas, discuss theories and concerns, share successes and problems. We hope you will post your questions, comments and concerns to this list, and that you will respond to those posted by others.
We hope you will give our list a try--it has the potential to erase some of our isolation and provide a helping hand across the miles of our great state.
Happy English teaching and sharing,
Nancy Kampfe, President-Elect SD Council of Teachers of English
If you're looking for a discussion on a specialized topic, and your SDCTE colleagues can't help you, there are many other listservs available for English teachers. NCTE alone hosts dozens of email lists, some of which are quite general (such as the lists arranged by education level), and some are extremely specialized (such as Hogwarts-Haven, the list for fans of Harry Potter books). Check out their list of lists!
If you're specifically looking for discussion with other South Dakota educators, DECA offers several Content Area Listservs, including one for language arts, one for distance education, and one for advanced placement.
